Following the recent tragic events in Palestine, I have written to the Foreign Secretary, James Cleverly MP asking the UK Government take all necessary action in accordance with international law to protect the lives of Palestinians.
I also believe that it is essential that the UK Government pushes Israel to allow humanitarian corridors and humanitarian access to the people in Gaza, which should include food, water, utilities and medicines. They should also ensure that necessary border crossings are opened up for people to reach safety.
I have demanded that the Government put pressure on Israel with our international partners to strive for lasting peace which includes a secure Israel and a sovereign Palestine which guarantees dignity, security and human rights for all.
