Autism questions put to Health Minister

(January 12, 2016)

Mark has asked a number of questions on the subject of Autism to the Secretary of State for Health, Jeremy Hunt MP.

In a parliamentary written question dated 5th January 2016, he asks whether 'he will ensure that NHS England's response to the Mental Health Taskforce includes securing access to timely autism diagnoses.' The new Taskforce is being set up to develop a five year strategy for mental health.

Mark also asks what discussion the Department for Health 'has had with NHS England on potential Clinical Commissioning Group Outcomes Indicator Set indicators on autism'.

A third question put to the Health Minister is to ask what steps he is taking to ensure that all GPs receive the training needed to diagnose Autism in a timely manner.
