Mark welcomes new UCLan Engineering Centre(February 02, 2015)
Mark has today welcomed University of Central Lancashire's (UCLan) plans to develop a new Engineering Centre.
The new Engineering Innovation Centre (EIC) is due to open in 2018 and will create a space for teaching, research and knowledge exchange. Subject to planning approval, work on the construction of the £30 million EIC will begin in early 2016.
Public and community engagement events will be taking place in Preston as part of the public consultation process.
Mark said: "The University has unveiled plans which are both bold and imaginative. I would urge my constituents and all stakeholders to take part in the public consultation process and help shape this redevelopment into a shared vision that is beneficial to citizens and the student population.”
