Support for Remploy workers

(July 26, 2012)

Mark joined Remploy workers on the picket line for two separate days of industrial action against the Governments decision to close Remploy factories across the country including Preston's.

Mark met with workers and union officials, all of whom were devastated and angry at the Governments decision.

Mark said "The decision by the Government to close Remploy is scandalous. Remploy was created after the World War to provide jobs to injured and disabled servicemen. They have thrown workers on the scrapheap, whilst we are in a double dip recession it will be very hard for the workers to be able to find other employment."

"It's not the end of the road we will continue to fight this."
