Mark met with Stephen Buchanan, Director of Emmaus Preston along with volunteers and staff before touring the store and facility. He said: ‘Emmaus have done some great work in Preston to reduce homelessness and this latest venture provides meaningful work and a focus to vulnerable people as well as a great recycling facility which benefits everyone in the city.

I’d encourage anyone getting rid of large furniture items to consider donating them to charities like Emmaus before taking them to the tip’.

In the Preston megastore, Emmaus sells a mix of new and refurbished items including washers, cookers and large items of furniture. You can also donate large goods to Emmaus for them to sell in their shop with the proceeds going into the homelessness charity.
