New Appeal for food donations by Salvation Army

The Salvation Army on Harrington Street, Preston are once again appealing for help with stocking in their food banks are supplies are fast depleting.  The charity is currently supporting around 200 families in Preston regularly with food parcels and they are appealing to members of the public to donate non perishable food items for the foodbank in time for Easter.


Suggested food items include the following: cereal, soup, pasta, rice, pasta sauce, beans, tinned meat, tinned vegetables, tea/coffee, sugar, tinned fruit, biscuits and easter eggs. Non food items include toiletries such as: shampoo, shower gel, shaving gel, soap, toothpaste, wipes, nappies and feminine products.
